What information do we collect?

We may collect certain types of personal information from you. Personal information is any information that can be used to identify you and may include details such as name, address, telephone numbers, date of birth, occupation and email address.

  • when you complete a 'join our mailing list' form available at any of our stores;
  • when join the Ripe Maternity VIP Program;
  • when you contact us with an enquiry;
  • when you submit a job application; and

    • place and online order with us

We also collect the following information that you may be unaware of:

  • the name of the domain from which you access the internet;
  • the date and time you access our site;
  • the internet address of the website that linked you directly to our site.

We collect personal information to keep you up to date with any important changes to our website, to notify you of special events, promotions and offers that may be of interest to you and to respond to your queries. We also collect personal information to allow us to manage and fulfil any orders you place with us.

Sharing information with third parties

Ripe does not share, sell or trade your personal information gathered online with third parties. Personal information collected online will only be disclosed within our corporate group for marketing purposes.

How can I review my choices about receiving promotional communication?

At Ripe we want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. If you prefer not to receive promotional information from us or if you do not want your information used to enhance your shopping experience, please let us know by clicking on the unsubscribe link on our communications.

Any information that we no longer require is destroyed securely. An exception to this may be retention of the information for data analysis. However, if this occurs then the information will be retained in a form that does not allow you to be identified from that information.

We will reasonably attempt to ensure that the personal information that we hold about you is accurate and up to date. Any personal information that you submit will be protected by our secure server. We might, on occasions, use this information to notify you of any important changes to our site or any special promotions that may be of interest to you. However, we will not to sell or trade your personal information to any third party organisations or individuals without your consent other than third party suppliers in the delivery of services you have agreed to accept from our online store or if we are requested to do so by a law enforcement agency in relation to a suspected breach of any law.

Online ordering security

Protecting your personal and order information is a priority at Ripe. As such we have created a secure transaction environment. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology - Our On-line Ordering system is the industry standard for encryption technology - to protect your online order information. SSL encrypts all information including your credit card and all personal information passed from you to www.ripematernity.com. Encryption provides you with security and peace of mind when your browser and local network supports the use of encrypted data transmissions.

GST & Taxes

  • The Australian GST tax rate applies to all orders delivered within Australia.
  • Any duties and taxes incurred in the country of destination are the responsibility of the customer.
  • If you require further information about your country's taxes and duties you will need to contact your local customs office directly.
  • To comply with Australian export regulations, we are required to declare the exact value of all items ordered and to mark them as dutiable 'merchandise'. We are also prohibited by law from marking the order as a 'gift', even if order is placed with the intention of sending to a gift recipient.

VIP Terms and Conditions

  • To be eligible to register as a Ripe Maternity VIP member you must purchase $300 or more in one transaction at a Ripe Maternity branded store, not including online (please note this excludes the Ripe in Subiaco store located in Western Australia). During selected promotions offered by Ripe Maternity, customers will be eligible to register at Ripe Maternity's discretion.
  • Ripe Maternity VIP members are entitled to; 10% off all full price merchandise, 20% Off Active Wear, a $10 gift voucher, a five class pass from Preggie Bellies* and exclusive invitations and offers. The VIP member discount is not valid on sale items or in conjunction with any other discount unless specified by Ripe Maternity. The benefits are only offered at Ripe Maternity branded stores, not including the online store (please note this excludes the Ripe in Subiaco store located in Western Australia).
  • The VIP member discount will only be given upon presentation of a VIP Card issued by Ripe Maternity.
  • By using your VIP Card you accept and agree to these Terms and Conditions. The VIP Card is not transferable and remains the property of Ripe Maternity.
  • Ripe Maternity may amend or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice. Ripe Maternity will endeavor to notify all VIP members of changes yet will not be liable if it does not.
  • Information concerning VIP members, including information collected on a registration form or on the Ripe Maternity Online Store, will be held in a database and made available to all Ripe Maternity stores. By becoming a VIP member you consent to information from that database being used for marketing and other purposes relating to the Ripe Maternity VIP Member Program.

Ripe will not collect or monitor any personal information about you without your consent. The only personal information we collect is what you tell us about yourself.  If you contact us, we may keep a record of that contact.

Ripe uses cookies to make your use of our website and services as convenient as possible. Cookies in and of themselves do not personally identify users, although they do identify a user's browser. This may mean you will not be able to take full advantage of Ripe's services.

Ripe will not use or disclose any information about you without your consent, unless: required by law; to implement our terms of service, including disclosing your personal information to third party financial institutions; to protect the rights, property or personal safety of another Ripe user, any member of the public or Ripe; or the assets and operations of the Ripe business are transferred to another party as a going concern. In seeking to give you the most worthwhile experience of our website possible, Ripe may use your personal information to send you information and product updates about products or services which you have requested.  When you provide your personal information to us, Ripe will give you the choice as to whether or not you wish to receive further information about special offers, promotions, and changes to our products and services. If you indicate that you do not wish to receive these, we will not contact you further for these purposes. Please allow 28 days for your request to be processed.

Ripe and its affiliates recognise the trust you place in us when you give us personal information. In order to operate the website or deliver a service we may sometimes share your personal information with a service partner.  We will not otherwise disclose your personal information to other companies without your explicit consent.

If you are receiving promotional information about Ripe and do not wish to receive this information any longer, you may remove your name from our list either by visiting our website and following the instructions on how to withdraw your information from that site (where that facility is available), or emailing us at online@ripe.com.au with the subject title of 'unsubscribe'. Please allow 28 days for this request to be processed.

7. Changing and deleting the information we have about you
If at any time you wish to change personal information that is inaccurate or out of date, please contact us by emailing us at online@ripe.com.au and we will amend this record. If you wish to have your personal information deleted, please let us know in the same manner as referred to above and we will take all reasonable steps to delete it unless we need to keep it for legal reasons.

Ripe will endeavour to take all reasonable steps to keep secure any information which we hold about you, and to keep this information accurate and up to date. Your information is stored on secure servers that are protected in controlled facilities. We require our employees and data processors to respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by Ripe. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot give an absolute assurance that the information you provide to us will be secure at all times. Ripe will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access to your personal information.

Ripe provides links to websites outside of the Ripe service. These linked sites are not under the control of Ripe, and we are not responsible for the conduct of companies linked to our website or the content of those websites. Before disclosing your personal information on any other website, we advise you to examine the Terms and Conditions of those websites.
