Cable Nursing Knit Snow

A gift for my expectant daughter,both of us are delighted with the quality & softness of this sweater.

Love the jumper and the fit. Slightly annoying however that the label for washing directions is located right along the zip on the left side. When you have a hungry baby in one hand and trying to unzip with the other, the label gets jammed in the zip!

This is a really nice warm, soft jumper. Not itchy at all. Easy to feed in, although the zips do get a little bit stuck sometimes if you’re not careful. I’ll be wearing it for more winters to come even if I’m not breast feeding any more

I kept receiving emails to write a review, so did and then found my review never appeared. I had rated this sweater 3 stars but now feel 2 stars is a better reflection of my experience, as on my sixth wear of this sweater I have found a sizeable hole in the shoulder seam. This is after already repairing a wonky zip and a zip that was coming undone at the seam. I should point out that the sweater is oversized and there is no stress on the seams. The fabric pills like crazy, even though I’ve only hand washed it and flat dried it on an air dry rack. I had felt that the sweater was still worth it because it is at least very warm and comfortable but now feel like it’s just a waste of money and is unlikely to last this winter. Very annoying.

I debated about whether to keep or return this sweater upon receiving it, as the quality was not as good as I expected for the price. One zip seam was stitched a bit wonky and the other started to come undone the first day I wore it (despite it being on the larger side for me and under no strain at all). It also pills easily, though that’s to be expected with a synthetic knit. After 5 wears it looks quite well loved. I tend to buy fewer things and better quality, but the quality is more what I expect from a sweater half the cost. Though to be fair I have found this to be the case across all maternity and nursing brands that I’ve tried. Ultimately, with the hassle of online shopping during lockdown, I decided to just keep the sweater and repair the zips myself. It felt worth it overall as it’s definitely very warm and ideal for a cold Melbourne winter of breastfeeding. You won’t be disappointed by the thickness of the material or the design. However, I’m unsure whether it will hold up much longer than this season of wear.
